2017 3-star RB ‘hot’ Army target

The last time we spoke with Rivals 3-star prospect, Justin Brown out of New Canaan (CT) St. Luke’s High School, it was following his unofficial visit to West Point as the Army Black Knights hosted the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Since that time, the talented running back has rapped up his junior season of football, has seen a slight jump in his recruiting, but is also focusing his attention on getting ready for his season campaign.

So, when it comes to new interest from college, Brown indicated that at least two programs appear to be showing interest.

“Wisconsin and Stanford mainly have been reaching out to me a lot,” declared the 5-foot-10, 200 pound running back. “No new offers right now, but I’m hoping they will come soon. I’m just going to continue to work.”

And work is exactly what he has been putting in.

“I'm currently training at one of the top facilities in the North East, ‘Break Out Athlete’,” he explained. “I want to be as fast and strong as I've ever been. I would like to do track, but my school doesn't have a team so I am going to request to run for a local team when the season is upon us.”

When it comes to the Black Knights, Brown acknowledged that the lines of communication are constant.

“Yes, I’m still hearing from Army and actually, it was early December,” stated Brown of his most recent conversation with linebacker coach, John Loose, who is handling his recruiting.

“It was just a recap of what I thought on the Army-Rutgers game that I attended. I am very interested in Army ... they are willing to give me a shot.”

“I would love to visit again in the near future and hopefully will camp there in the summer,” said Brown, who currently holds offers from Army and Temple, but don’t be surprise if more are coming down the pipeline soon.

For the 2015 season, he accumulated 1,427 all purpose yards, 1,350 were on the ground, where he averaged 10.3 yards per carry and 18 touchdowns.

What is more impressive regarding Brown’s season rushing totals is the fact that it was done under his team’s 8-game schedule.

GoBlackKnights.com will continue to follow Brown’s summer football activity, along with the progression of his recruiting throughout his senior campaign, so keep it right here.
