‘Big’ Georgia O-lineman Ousman Traore picks up Army West Point offer

When it comes rushing offense, there is not other college in the country that does it better than the Army Black Knights.

The offense that is lead by senior QB Ahmad Bradshaw (5th in the nation in rushing), averages a whopping 368.1 yards per game which is tops in the country.

No matter who is carrying the ball, those numbers just don’t come without the big guys up front and Army West Point has one of the better offensive lines in the country.

But Army head coach Jeff Monken knows that he has to fill the pipeline when it comes to O-line talent, and that is why the Black Knights have recently offered 6-foot-3, 327 offensive guard prospect Ousman Traore.

The prospect out of Atlanta (GA) Hapeville Charter currently holds offers from Southern, Howard, the Citadel and and now Army, when he was visited by offensive coordinator Brent Davis that made the Black Knights’ interest in the O-lineman official.

“He [Davis] came to our practice and was watching, but also talking to the coaches,” explained Traore. “Then at the end of practice he just gave me the offer.”

“At the beginning of practice he had introduced himself to me, then he was watching our practice. Before it was time to leave my coach called me over and told me the Army coach has some good news for you, and he told me I had the offer and he will try to get me and my QB up there.”

When asked by GoBlackKnights.com what is his current level of interest in Army West Point knowing that they are one of the better teams in the nation this season and how does their nation 's leading rushing offense fit into your style as a O-line, this is what Traore had to say.

“I actually don’t no how I feel about any of my school right now,” declared the prospect out of the state of Georgia. “But, how I fit with Army’s style of offense is by good technique and feet ... also with the ability to move to the second level.”

On the season, Traore and his teammates at Hapeville Charter went 9-1 in the regular season and now they are in the 3rd round of the playoffs.

GoBlackKnights.com will continue to follow Traore’s recruiting throughout the balance of his 2017 football campaign, so keep it right here.
