Boom! WR Neo Vossschulte commits to Army West Point

Wide receiver Neo Vossschulte out of The Episcopal Academy in Pennsylvania has made his college decision and it will be the Army Black Knights of West Point.

The 6-foot-4, 192 pounder shared with GoBlackKnights.com of his decision that actually came about on Monday, but opted to make his pledge public on Tuesday.

“I notified the staff of my commitment At 1:00 EST,” shared Vossschulte. “I first chatted with Coach (John) Loose, who has been primarily recruiting me and then Coach (Keith) Gaither and then finally Coach (Jeff) Monken.”

“It was a fairly quick conversation. I texted Coach Loose asking him to chat and I called him shortly after. I told him, ‘I’m read to make a verbal commitment to West Point’, and he was excited. Telling me he’s fired up and can’t wait to get things rolling. Coach Gaither the same. And for Coach Monken, he was very professional and excited in letting me know the culture and brotherhood at West Point is like no other.”

The incoming receiver talked about what lead him to his decision.

“The deciding factors of West Point were ones that were very important to me,” he declared. “I wanted to be set up on both the football side of things and academic side of things. I know West Point will be a very challenging school, but it’s something I want to challenge myself with. I think the final result will make everything worth while. Also, the beat navy mentality is the icing on the cake.”

According to Vossschulte, the bonding with other committed players has already taken place.

"I’ve been in touch with many recruits and I’m very excited about my commitment,” said the student-athlete who holds a 3.4 GPA and is hoping for a direct admit to the academy.

GBK Analysis:

Vossschulte has huge upside. Good measurements, he has verified track numbers (100m and 200m), good genes …. Both of this uncles played at Wisconsin.

When the Black Knights look for quality wide receiver prospects, Vossschulte checks off most if not all the boxes. He is a good football player, who has Special Teams value, good route runner, he has the ability to make big plays, willingness to block, short space quickness/speed.
