Throughout the recruiting year, we have reported on practically all of the members of Army’s 2017 recruiting class, so there isn’t too much more to add.

However, through our own assessments of the incoming talent, along with our Rivals sources, high school coaches, etc ... we have taken the liberty to rank the Black Knights’ Top Five Defensive Prospects for this incoming class.

As we all know, this is subject to change and often does once the pads gone on and summer practice kicks in. Of course, we must add to the equation which is the challenges that one faces as a student-athlete at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Either way, there are our Top Five in alphabetical order. However, our 5th selection was a little difficult and feel that many of the safeties could make our list, from Daniel Charles, Cedrick Cunningham, Daniel Jackson and Micheal Williams. We selected one from the group to round out our Top Five, but in our opinion there is little distinction in talent between that group of incoming safeties.
