This is a very unique senior class, whereby many if not most were recruiting and committed to the Army Black Knights under the former coaching staff lead by then head coach Rich Ellerson. Although some players like Alex Aukerman were technically recruited by both staffs.

True props to that crew for recognizing what one could surely call “under the radar” talent, that was passed over by tons of Division I programs.

That is one side of the equation. The other side is the current staff, lead by 4th year head coach, Jeff Monken. This group of coaches has truly taken this now senior group of players and turned the Army West Point football program completely around, and that point can’t be argued.

But his is less about that and more about taking a look back and remembering when these college seniors, were seniors in high school and made that major decision to say yes to Army and attend one of the most challenging colleges/universities in the nation.
