GBK: Thanks for the Four Years of Fighting

As an Army football fan, I ask the question: What is there to look forward to after so much disappointment this season?
Answer: The Army-Navy Game.

This is the game that can literally wipe away all of the season's past sins and literally has the power to decide whether or not Black Knights had a successful football season or a bad one.
The last time that Army beat Navy was back in 2001. Beating Midshipmen this year would be our brightest moment with only three wins to our name, albeit having several of our players plagued with injuries.
So, now coming up on a decade there was no possible way that Army was going to let Navy win ten straight in a row, right? Wrong! But we didn't go out with a whimper, we went out with a BANG!
After Navy scored two consecutive touchdowns, one by quarterback Kriss Proctor and the other by fullback Alexander Teich, it appeared as if Army was going to just hang their heads and accept the inevitable.
That all changed though. The Black Knights decided to fight back and ended up giving the fans one of the most exciting finishes that we have seen in the past ten years.
Now, I know we lost, so to me it's trivial to go on about stats and talk about what we did wrong, what we did right, what we need to change. We lost and that's that.
The thing that amazes me though is that despite all of the disappointment that the team endured this year, they still mustered up the courage to give us one hell of a game and for the seniors it was their very last.
So instead of talking about the game I want to recognize each senior and thank them for everything they gave us these past four years.
And after their rallying effort that put into this year's ARMY-NAVY contest, they truly showed their strength and what they are made out of.
These men were leaders on the field and now they will go on to be leaders in the United States Army. Thanks again for all of your service.
