Geoffery Bacon is a Black Knight

Like many recruits, hearing about West Point is one thing, but experiencing it up close and personal is an entirely different story and current Army commit, Geoffery Bacon can attest to that fact.
The 6-foot-1, 190 pound athlete out of Milwaukee (Wis.) Riverside University High School, made his official visit during the January 15th weekend and was sold on becoming a Black Knight.

Bacon, who played free safety and wide receiver at Riverside, has the frame to add weight, but also has the athleticism and speed to be an effective outside linebacker, which is where he initially being projected in the Black Knights' scheme.
Bacon's recruiting has been handled by Coach Joe Ross and during his visit to West Point, it was the addition that he received from Head Coach Rich Ellerson that made him feel like a wanted prospect. "I had a lot of one-on-one time with him (Ellerson) while I was there on my visit and Coach Ross. He's a real good guy and has been up front with me from the beginning," shares the USMAPS bound Bacon, who was hosted by Josh Jackson during his visit.
So on Tuesday, Bacon gave his pledge to the Army coaching staff to become a Black Knight and join the 2010 recruiting class.
In addition to football, Bacon, who runs a best of 4.56 in the forty, participates in both basketball and track.
His 32 inch vertical is a plus for this future Black Knight, as he plays power forward and in track he runs the 300M hurdles, 4x100M and 4x200M.
GoBlackKnights.com would like congratulate Bacon for becoming newest member of the 2010 Army recruiting class, as well as a member of the Long Gray Line.
