McNary Named To The 2010 Lombardi Award Watchlist

Senior defensive end Josh McNary was selected to the Rotary Lombardi Award watch list on Friday. The list is made up of players who earned All-American or first team All-American honors in the 2009 season, or players that are nominated.
The explosive defender was also named to the 2010 Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List which was released June 21st and as the Rivals.com Independents' pre-season Defensive Player of the Year.

McNary ranks as Army's all-time (18) and single-season leader in quarterback sacks. McNary ranks as Army's all-time (18) and single-season leader in quarterback sacks. He totaled 12.5 sacks in 2009 and ranked fourth in the nation with 1.04 sacks per contest.
In 2009, the explosive quick defensive end set the Black Knights' record for sacks in a single game when he registered four against Temple.
In addition, McNary logged in an impressive 22.5 tackles for loss in 2009.
The Rotary Lombardi watch list will be narrowed down to 12 semifinalists throughout the season. The winner will voted on by the Rotary Lombardi Selection Committee, and will be honored December 7-8 in Houston, Texas.
