As we mentioned in our report on the Black Knights hosting several key prospects for Saturday’s contest versus Temple, most if not all were coming on their visit with high expectation of seeing a competitive game.

Well, the truth be told, the game excited all expectations and went down to a last second play in the 4th quarter, that then saw the Black Knights kick the tying extra point, that sent the game into overtime, with Army putting 3-points up on the board with their overtime FG, while the Temple Owls missed their 3-point attempt and the Black Knights notched win No. 6 on the season and officially became bowl eligible.

So, were the afterthoughts from some of the players on hand Saturday contest?

Rivals 3-star defensive tackle and Army commit Ryan Bryce, who is typically a cool - calm customer offered up his reaction to the game, and also shared what his favorite moment of the contest was as well.

“Great game, loved the atmosphere,” shared the Philadelphia (PA) St. Joseph’s High School product.

“When Temple missed the easy-make field goal, I was expecting to go to another OT, but when he missed it ... it was crazy and I was high-fiving everyone around me,” added Bryce.

Although Dathan Hickey remains uncommitted, the talented athlete also was able to get caught up in the moment as he went on to describe the vibe of Saturday’s game atmosphere and his favorite plays of the game.

“The return off the field goal post even though it didn't count it shows great effort to make big plays,” said Hickey. “Another one was the catch to tie the game up and I was up on the bleacher yelling.”

The 6-foot-0, 171 pounder from Bristol (CT), was sitting amongst all the other prospects (committed and uncommitted) and it was just a moment that you didn’t necessarily have to know the person next to you, but you just were caught up in the moments of the game.

“I don't know who it was, but we were talking about the game and how crazy the last couple minutes were,” said Hickey, who top three schools are Yale, Dartmouth and Army and who was joined at the game by his father and brother.
