"B-back most definitely," shared the 5-foot-11, 210 pounder, when asked if he could see himself out there at either slotback or B-back. "I actually could see myself out in that game because my football team had a bye, so I really wanted to play."
McCoy was joined on the trip to the New York campus with his parents, but said he had a great time also talking to some of the other recruits who were on hand, along with Coaches, Jay Bateman, Sean Saturnio, as well as Assistant Director of Player Personnel, Danilo Robinson.

- Army commit (2016) & RB Sandon McCoy on Saturday's Army-Wake Forest game
"I spoke to the running back from Charlotte Catholic and Eric Cal from Providence Day," said McCoy, who had this to say about Army's loss to Wake Forest on a last second field goal by the Demon Deacons. "Hurt ... we were so close."
Also making a return trip to campus was defensive tackle and Army commit, Tyler Fleagle, who was joined by his parents.
Other Key Prospects:
Also on hand was his first game as an invited recruit for an Army West Point game was offensive lineman and Illinois commit Devon Robinson out of Atco (NJ) Winslow Township High School.
The 6-foot-4, 294 pounder is still shaking off the dust from last month's firing of University of Illinois head coach, Tim Beckman just prior to the team's season opener.
So to some degree, he appears to be carefully selecting what other programs he should be paying attention to and one on his list is Army West Point, as he had this to say about his visit when he took in Saturday Army-Wake Forest contest.
"I liked it and I spoke to every coach there," shared Robinson, who also had the opportunity to check out the Black Knights' state of the art football facilities. "I saw the weight room ... It was good. The community and the atmosphere was great. A good mindset of football."
"I'm considering Army a little," shared Robinson, who said he is still considering Illinois, whom he spoke to as recently as Saturday."
Another big O-line prospect on hand was Eric Cal. Unlike Robinson, the offensive tackle who is out of Charlotte (N.C.) by the way of Providence Day High School is making his 2nd visit (March 28th 1st unofficial visit) to the historic academy campus.
"It went really well .... I really enjoyed myself up there," said the 6-foot-3, 285 pounder, who arrived late due his delayed flight and was unable to take in any of the pre-game activities. "But, I was able to talk to Coach [Jay] Bateman, my recruiting coach and Coach Mike Viti, who is Director of Player Personnel after the game."
"My conversation with Coach Bateman about the game, the defense that did really well and recruiting. Then I got to talk to Coach Viti about recruiting again, but I just had a really good conversation with him just asking questions since he was a recent grad from West Point. So, I was asking him questions on how it is up there in the past years and how it was in his service and how he came back and start coaching there."
"I'd say it went really," said Cal, when discussing his overall impression of his visit on Saturday, despite the Black Knights falling to the Demon Deacons on a last second field goal. "I got to see things that kind of surprise me. When I went up there for my visit to their practice [March 28th], I got to see the stadium. But, it's a completely different atmosphere when I was actually in the stands when it's packed for a game. It seemed so much larger than it was ... to see the energy and play in that environment. That was really good. The game was tough and everything and a loss is never good for anyone, but overall my experience was good ... just feeling the game day atmosphere at West Point."
When it comes to his overall recruiting and making his college decision, Cal over this update.
"First, I want to make all my rounds and visits," he shared. "I plan on visiting Navy, then maybe Air Force sometimes soon. So, probably November time frame when my visits end, I will be making my decision."
Other Notables On Hand:
