Who's the top Army player of the last 50 years?
In its history, Army has had its share of standout performers. Three Heisman

trophy winners, an Outland Trophy winner, 71 First Team All-Americans, and 25
players in the College Hall of Fame.
We all know the famous names that surround Army football - Felix "Doc"
Blanchard, Glenn Davis, Pete Dawkins, Joe Steffy. All of those players played
in the Golden Age of Army football. The times when Army was consistently a top
10 team and garnered three national championships.
However, who is the best player since then? In order to find out, we are
going to put it in the hands of the fans. Over the next week, we want you to
nominate who you think the best Army player has been since the 1959 season.
Nominate as many players as you wish, and we will take the top 32 vote-getters
to build out a "bracket" style contest. We will then put the voting in your
hands, allowing you to vote in the head-to head matchups throughout the season,
and announcing the winner on Army-Navy weekend.
The nominations start now. Click the link below to submit your nomination
for the top Army players in the last 50 years, along with why you think they
deserve to be there.
We look forward to your nominations, and look forward to crowning Army's top
Player of the last 50 years. Nominations are due by Tuesday, October 20, 2009.
