Just like the Army Black Knights’ season has kicked off, so has high school programs across the country, which means that most recruits have to balance their recruiting time more diligently as they focus on their own 2018 football campaign.

For big cornerback [6’2, 205 lbs) Maurice Wilmer, he has offers from several schools including Army, Air Force, Colorado just to name a few.

And when it comes to the Black Knights, the relationship when the cornerback and the coaching staff have been on the brewer for some time now.

“Coach [Sean] Saturino has been recruiting me,” told GoBlackKnights.com.

“He sent me pictures of the campus, texted to check on me last school year and saw him at some camps after the school year ... but the offer came after my baseball practice.”

“And now .... just catching up on me every week and asking how the games and season going and the school year.”

Wilmer readily admitted that he has yet to officially schedule a visit to the West Point campus or any other school just yet.

“I’ve been putting a schedule together, but I don’t know when I’ll do my visits,” stated the product of Mountain View (CA) St. Francis High School, who went on to explain that he doesn’t have a current favorite when it comes to the recruiting of his talents as a student-athlete ... although he shared that the Army West Point offer carries a uniqueness to it.

“I have the same amount of interest for all the school I have offers from, but it means a lot to have one from them [Army] ... men and woman that fight for this country.”

On the season, Wilmer and his teammates at St. Francis are currently 2-1, with their only loss coming to powerhouse De La Salle.
