Prepsters arrive for Army's 2016 recruiting class

As you know, Army’s 2016 class is made up of two segments .... those who enter West Point via direct admission and they have already seen their R-Day come and go.

Now the 2nd wave of the 2016 class has arrived onto the grounds of the United States Military Academy at West Point and will enter via the United States Military Academy Prep School (USMAPS).

Well, if you are a subscriber to GoBlackKnights.com, you know that our practice is not to or at least rarely to cover the prep school for obvious recruiting reasons.

However, we would like to at least let you see that the players have arrived ... many making their way on campus this weekend and they appear to be ready to kick start the Army West Point careers starting this morning.

“I’m excited to get started,” declared 6-foot-3, 220 pound Rivals 2-star defensive end Demann Wilson.

Then you have players like Rivals 3-star linebacker Christian Gomez who has clearly added muscle and weight, coming in at a solid 230 pounds.

Missing in action is Caleb Auer who was medically disqualified, but still held a connection for the members of the incoming class.

“Yeah it didn't work out, but as always Beat Navy,” said Auer, who indicated that he will be attending Furman University in South Carolina

Here are a few photos for you the fans to get a perspective of the newcomers transition into the academy.
