4-Star 2024 DE prospect Joseph Jonah-Ajonye discusses Army offer
Rivals 4-Star defensive end prospect Joseph Jonah-Ajonye currently holds 26 offers, with one of those coming from the Army Black Knights of West Point.
According to the 6-foot-5, 260-pounder who is out of Conroe (TX) Oak Ridge High School, he received the offer from the Black Knights approximately 4 weeks ago.
“Coach (Darren) Paige offered me and they (Army) are top 10,” shared Jonah-Ajonye, who had this to say about his style of play relative to Army’s aggressive 3-4 defense, but also what it means to potentially attend an institution such as West Point.
“My style of defense is probably going to be more pass than run,” he declared. “Going to Army West Point means I would receive an amazing education and get great connections from the alumni.”
During his 2022 junior season, the talented defensive end had I had 49 tackles, 33 solo tackles, 7.5 sacks, 16 tfls and 6 quarterback hurries.
This led him to 1st Team All-District and County honors.
To date, he has not made any plans to visit West Point, but that could soon change, as he outlined what he is looking for in a college program.
“I’m looking for a program that is disciplined and has a family bond,” he stated.
