West Point -Cadet Josh Jenkins, Class of 2017, was involved in an incident which prompted authorities to pursue a medical evaluation, Sunday, July 4.

The alleged altercation occurred near his barracks room with another cadet late Saturday night or early Sunday morning after returning from a restaurant/bar off-post. 

The incident is under investigation.

After classmates observed him acting out of character late Sunday morning, Jenkins was taken to Westchester Medical Center for further evaluation.
