Rivals 3-star OL/DL prospect Connor Finucane has tons of offers ranging from Kansas, California, Air Force, Tulane and a host of other schools.

But when came right down to it, the 6-foot-4, 280 pounder did not hesitate to recognize and act upon his assessment that Army West Point was the best fit for his college career.

So, it was back on September 10th that the product of Baton Rouge (LA) officially notified fullback coach Mike Viti to him that he was ready to become the latest member of the Black Knights’ 2020 recruiting class.

“I told him that I think i’s the best fit for me and my future,” Finucane shared with GoBlackKnights.com. “I think it’a the perfect culture for me personally compared to other schools.”

The big and talented recruit also shared that he had an opportunity to converse with Army head coach Jeff Monken relative to his pledge.

“Yes I did and he was very excited, as am I,” acknowledged Finucane, whose commitment comes minus the fact that he has yet to visit Army West Point.

“I haven’t visited, but I plan to go up in January,” said the lineman, who has been recruited into the program on the offensive side of the ball and who declared that he feels that he will be able to add value as the newest member of the M.O.B..

“I think I’ll fit in well,” he said. “I enjoy the physicality and aggression that they display in the run game.”

Currently, Finucane maintains a 3.4 GPA but it is not certain if will be entering direct or prep at this time.”

With Finucane’s commitment, the Black Knights have done well for themselves when it comes to offensive line pledges; David Hoyt, Chris Hunter, Aidan Gaines, Aidan Perkins and Kaleb Luna.
