With temperatures reaching as high as 98 degrees on Saturday, and if you factor in another 5-10 degrees on the turf of Michie Stadium ... all one has to do is say ‘thank goodness for Army's state-of-the-art-indoor facility called Foley Athletic Center, which is where the camp took place.
There were several key prospects participating in the events of the day, some already holding an offer from the Black Knights, but others who are minus an offer however were clearly on the staff’s radar ... whereby they were hoping that their Saturday’s performance would net them a post-camp offer.
One player who did was tight end Chris Cameron, who throughout the spring and summer has held Army as his favorite and as reported by GBK back in May ... he couldn’t wait to make it to camp to showcase his talents in front of the staff.
Although running backs Joe Wallace, who ran a consistent 4.5 forty during the testing part of the camp and then there’s Jackson Saffold, who in Army offense who be featured more as a B-back (fullback) did not come away with an offer, that may change soon for one or both players ... as they looked impressive throughout the day.
Let’s also take a look inside GoBlackKnights.com Photo Gallery from Saturday’s camp.
