Former Army cornerback and Greensboro, N.C. native Mario Hill was tragically killed in a car accident.

According to LEX18.com, Hill was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Lexington (Ky.) early Saturday morning.
The incident happened at about 2:30 a.m. when his car ran into tree at intersection of Montavesta Road and Mount Drive outside the Landsdowne-Merrick Park. The coroner said Mario Hill, 25, of Lexington died of multiple blunt force trauma injuries. The accident in still under investigation.
The 2010 graduate of West Point and walk-on, was the oldest of nine children. Not only was Hill a leader, but a young man who was highly respected and well liked by his coaches and peers alike.
Black Knights' cornerback coach Tony Coaxum, was lost for words when hearing of the news of Hill's most untimely death. "I just saw him Sunday," shared a very sadden Coaxum with GoBlackKnights.com. "And we exchanged text on Tuesday."
"He was soft spoken, very well respected and a quiet leader," continued Coaxum. "Mario had a great sense of humor. He and I connected immediately when I joined the staff, even though I didn't coach him until his senior year.
"My nickname for him was "Thrill Hill" ... I'm gonna miss him."
Through the social network of Facebook, many current and former Army players, along with tons of friends and West Point grads continue to pour out their condolences as they salute the young man who not only wore #1 for the Black Knights, but was #1 in the hearts of so many that he came in contact with.
