ARMY FOOTBALL BIO

The 6-foot-3, 244 pound outside linebacker, whose first stop will be at the USMAPS, was a huge pick-up by the Army Black Knights and their 2018 recruiting class. He is a blend between Alex Aukerman and Kenneth Brinson, but over time he will be a ‘big’ player (240-255 range) similar to Aukerman. Without question, getting Mosley is a HUGE commitment for the program.

He was a Unanimous 1st Team All-District performer .... Rivals 3-star prospect. so let’s find out a little bit more about this talented incoming outside linebacker.

What was the most memorable moment of your high school career?

I’d have to say my most memorable moment in high school was my athletic football career.

My senior year when we played our rivals Desoto High School and Cedar Hill High School. After years of being defeated by both schools back to back our senior class decided that enough was enough, and we pulled together and defeated both rival school on there home field and homecoming at that.

What college or NFL player do you try to model your game after?

My NFL model I try to copy exactly is Von Miller at 6’3 and 250 pound linebacker ... I watch him consistently. Every move he does I try at practice then pull it off in a game.

Who has helped you the most in your development as a football player?

My dad Marcus Mosley Sr, when I first started (age 7) playing football he’d take me to a park and we work on hand placement and footwork. He taught me everything I know and I’m forever grateful.

What was your favorite part of the recruiting process?

My favorite part of the recruiting process was being able to come onto the West Point campus and onto the Prep School campus. I felt at home on both campuses and i can’t wait to be up there.

What was the craziest thing a coach said to you?

The recruiting coach from Air Force told his offensive live that if they didn’t block me, their QB was gonna get injured.

And yes sir if they don’t then he will be injured {laughing}.

What shocked you most in the process?

How quickly an offer can be taken away just as fast as you get it. That’s why i’m thankful that i received an offer from West Point.

What was the biggest reason you picked Army West Point?

I realize football won’t last forever so i want a great career to fall back on and i know as a West Point graduate i’ll have that future that i want.

What do you see yourself doing 7-10 years from now?

If i’m not in the NFL then i plan on owning my own company from the ground up and then retiring after old age {quietly laughing}.

What number would you like to wear at Army and why?

I’d like to wear number #10 if not that then #55 if not that then #20 just like my dad did when he played football.

Everything I do I idolize my dad

What are the biggest things you need to work on preparing to come in as a freshman? Adapting to my environments and getting ready to work hard in class and on the field.

What are your goals for your freshman season?

Start strong in my classes and finish strong to get a degree, destroy Air Force and Navy, and make my parents more even more proud of me then they are right now
