As we pointed out prior to Saturday's Spring Game and Junior Day, this weekend would be one of the biggest recruiting weekends since Army head coach Jeff Monken took over 3-plus years ago.

And you listen to the 2018 who were on hand, being on the campus of West Point on Saturday exceeded most of the expectations that had coming up for their unofficial visit to the academy as they had an opportunity to tour the campus, meet the Black Knight coaches and players, as well as see some of the best football facilities in the country.

GoBlackKnights.com shares with you some of the feedback from a few of those were hosted by the Army coaching staff.

From the Murray family camp, it literally appeared that the athlete out of Mechanicsville (VA) would be one prospect who would take the next step and commit to the Army coaching staff.

Well, Saturday came and went, and the 5-foot-10, 170 pound wide receiver had not extended his pledge to the Black Knights, but offered these thoughts surrounding his unofficial visit to Army West Point.

“It met and exceeded expectations,” declared I was very thrilled by the campus and just the atmosphere of the school. Coach Bateman (my recruiter) is also a very great coach and just a great man in general! I loved what they had to offer both on the field and off the field; Amazing facilities, great/inviting people and top notch football, all in one.”

“Army is definitely towards the top of my list after that visit.”

I enjoyed it very much,” shared Rivals 3-star 280 pound defensive tackle, Ryan Bryce, who said he is still in evaluation mode when it comes to selected a college.

“Well, i am still just weighing my options and thinking things through. I hope to narrow down some options soon.”

“It was awesome, I really liked the atmosphere the people, and not to mention the campus, it has been one of the best schools I have been to so far,” stated the 6-foot-2, 245 defensive lineman out of Wyndmoor (PA) LaSalle High School.

“It's really early in process but I'm definitely considering it. The next step for me is to finish up spring visits and get ready for camps in the summer.”

“It (unofficial visit to Army West Point) exceeded my expectations, because I had never been on campus before so I had no idea what to expect,” added Zobel. “I was stunned to see the amazing views and beautiful scenery the campus had to offer as well as the phenomenal athletics faculties that are on par if not better than any other school in the country. Also, getting to experience the rich tradition of the school was great as well.”

“I felt that it had exceeded my expectations, because the coaches made me feel welcomed and as if I was top priority,” shared the linebacker prospect who is being recruited by Army as a running back. “I also felt that the campus was great and impressed with how much the alumni look to give back. The facilities were some of the best I have ever seen and the football game was a great experience they all played hard throughout the game. They fit right at the top of my list.”

“Everything was great I want to go back,” stated the safety prospect. “Although I lost my wallet, it was worth it.”

“I have high interest and they are on the top of my list. West Point is at the top of my list right now in terms of commitment and school of choice. After these camps (Rutgers and Wake Forest) then I will announce my commitment.”

“Yes it (unofficial visit to Army West Point) exceeded my expectations,” stated Walton. “I was shocked by a lot of things when I arrived on campus. The coaches offices and the whole football building was very nice. A lot of history in that building which is great. The coaches offices were very nice and neat. The weight room was fantastic and big. The stadium was way bigger than I expected it to be. Campus was beautiful with also a lot of history as well. It seemed as if the cafeteria could hold a couple thousand students as well. Love the coaching staff.”

GoBlackKnights.com will continue to follow the all of the aforementioned prospects' recruiting throughout the spring/summer, as well as his upcoming 2017 football campaign, so keep it right here.
